THE OBJECTIVE
The client needed a landing experience that could convey the sophistication of their AI-powered skin analysis tool while maintaining an approachable and trustworthy tone. The product scans users' faces to assess skin conditions and offers personalised medspa and treatment suggestions. Our challenge was to design an experience that felt both innovative and reassuring, balancing cutting-edge technology with a sense of care and expertise. We focused on creating clear, user-friendly flows that built confidence in the AI’s recommendations while guiding users seamlessly into their personalized results.
Building a Visual Language
To build trust in a tech-driven wellness product, we crafted a visual language that felt clinical yet calming. Soft gradients, minimal typography, and clean UI elements reflected a sense of precision and care, mirroring the advanced AI behind the app. We introduced subtle motion and micro-interactions to guide users intuitively without overwhelming them. Imagery focused on real, diverse skin tones and textures to emphasize inclusivity and authenticity. The goal was to make the technology feel human, elevated, but never alienating.
Designing the Scan Flow: From AI to Action
The face scan is where AI meets user value. Users simply take a photo or scan their face, and the app dynamically analyzes multiple skin factors: fine lines, elasticity, oil levels, and more.
We designed the scanning moment to feel alive: pulsing visuals, real-time analysis feedback, and clear breakdowns of what’s being assessed. Instead of overwhelming users with diagnostics, Belle provides personalized treatment suggestions tied to recognizable concerns like dryness or pigmentation, each with a clear next step.
